Ice Skating on Titletown's Hy-Vee Plaza Now Open

With the winter months fast approaching, the fan-favorite ice skating on Hy-Vee Plaza is now officially open for another season of fun.

Skating rink hours, admission and rental prices are available at this link. Visitors are reminded that everyone using the rink must complete a waiver and waivers may be filled out ahead of time at this link. Season passes for ice skating on Hy-Vee Plaza are available for purchase in-person only at the Admissions Building adjacent to Ariens Hill. Season passes purchased online during the season pass pre-sale can also be picked up now at the Admissions Building. Minors must be accompanied by an adult to obtain passes.

Throughout December, families can enjoy a plethora of themed skating experiences. On Tuesday evenings, children can come take photos with a different holiday character each week during Characters on Ice. Other themed skates include Santa Skate on Saturday mornings and Glow Skate on Thursday evenings, featuring brightly colored lights illuminating the rink. Titletown will also host Community Nights with discounted admission available to guests.

Titletown is also gearing up to celebrate with the free Winter Jubilee Warm Up, presented by EUA and Shopko Optical, on Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30. The Winter Jubilee Light Show presented by EUA and Shopko Optical will also be returning, and debuts at 6 p.m. on Nov. 29.

The Winter Jubilee Warm Up will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, when ice skating on the Hy-Vee Plaza opens for the day. At 4 p.m., Santa will make an appearance to Titletown with a special bell ceremony and multiple fire pits will be lit at the Terrapin Beer Garden, along with drinks served fireside.
