Know Before You Snow

Ready. Set. SNOW. Winter fun has now begun at Titletown! Whether you’re tubing down the slopes of Ariens Hill or gliding across Hy-Vee Plaza, you can still make the most of the 2025-2026 winter season with daily and season passes available at regular prices in person during operating hours. Before you bundle up or lace up your skates, learn more about our plan to ensure that your skating and tubing experience is safe and enjoyable!

Hours + Timing

  • Operating hours vary by day and may change for special events or holidays.
  • Please see the chart of daily and special hours at the bottom of this page for the most up-to-date schedule.
  • Peak times: Weekends tend to be busiest, so plan accordingly.

Location + Parking

  • Admissions Location: The Titletown Admissions Building for skating on Hy-Vee Plaza and tubing on Ariens Hill is located adjacent to Ariens Hill.
  • Check in at the Admissions Building upon arrival for access passes and waiver verification.

What to Wear

Ice Skating

  • High, thick socks are recommended for comfort when wearing skates.
  • Dress for the weather and consider layering to stay warm.
  • Helmets are recommended for safety but are not provided on-site.

Snow Tubing

  • Closed-toe shoes are required; boots are strongly recommended.
  • Dress for outdoor winter conditions.
  • Please secure loose items, such as scarves, hats, phones or accessories before tubing.

Rentals + Equipment

Ice Skating

  • Skate rentals are available for $5 and are not included with admission except on Community Nights and Gamedays.
  • Guests are welcome to bring their own skates.
  • Skate sizes range from toddler 11/12 through men’s size 15.
    • All skates are unisex, full sizes only.
    • Women: we recommend going down one size (or down a half size if between sizes).
    • Men: we recommend going up a half size if you typically wear a half size.
  • Skate assists are available upon request for beginners or inexperienced skaters.
  • Helmets are recommended for skating.

Snow Tubing

  • Tubes are provided for all participants.
  • No carrying required — a conveyor belt will transport tubes up Ariens Hill.
  • Personal tubes and sleds are prohibited; only tubes provided by Titletown may be used.

Age, Height + Skill Requirements

Ice Skating

  • Ice skating is open to guests of all skill levels.
  • Wheelchairs are allowed on the ice.
  • Guests pushing a wheelchair are not required to wear skates, but boots are required.

Snow Tubing

  • Guests must be at least 42 inches tall to tube down Ariens Hill.
  • One guest per tube is permitted.
  • Sitting on laps is prohibited for safety reasons.

Waivers (Required)

  • A waiver is required for all participants before skating or tubing.
  • Complete your waiver in advance to save time at check-in.
  • A new waiver must be completed for every visit, unless you have purchased a season pass.
  • Adults (18 and older) must complete their own waiver.
    • Up to 10 minors may be added to one adult waiver.
  • The date on the waiver must match the date you plan to visit Titletown.

Safety Rules

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

  • Paid admission and skates are required to enter the ice, including the rink fire pit area.
  • Children must wear their own skates while on the ice; carrying children is not permitted.
  • Enter and exit through designated gates only.
  • Skate with the flow of traffic — no excessive speed or backward skating.
  • No jumping, spinning, spraying or hockey stops.
  • No physical contact or disruptive behavior.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed on the ice.
  • Exit the ice during resurfacing and follow all instructions from rink monitors.
  • Any unsafe or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the ice.

Weather Policy

  • For guest safety, ice skating and snow tubing may be delayed or closed if weather conditions are not ideal, including extreme cold, unusually warm temperatures or rapid temperature changes.
  • Weather updates will be communicated on Titletown.com and social media. Please follow Titletown on Facebook, Instagram and X for the most up-to-date information before visiting.

Food, Drinks + Personal Items

  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
  • On-site concessions are available at 46 Below or any of our on-site restaurants.
  • Guests may not skate or tube while intoxicated.
  • Cubbies are available for personal belongings. Titletown is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Photos + Personal Belongings

  • Phone and camera use is permitted on the ice as long as guests follow Titletown’s camera policy.
  • Phone and camera use is not permitted during tubing on Ariens Hill.
  • Lost items: Please fill out this lost item form and a representative will follow up with you.

Accessibility + Guest Services

  • Restrooms are available near the Admissions Building or inside 46 Below.
  • Warming areas are available in locker rooms. 46 Below is for dining customers and is not to be used as a warming space.
  • For special accommodations, email winteroperations@delawarenorth.com or ask staff on-site for assistance.

Payment

  • Titletown is cashless. Credit/debit cards and Titletown gift cards are the only forms of payment accepted.
  • Gift cards are available for purchase at 46 Below and can be used for skating, skate rentals, tubing and café dining.
  • A cash-to-card machine is also available inside 46 Below. Please note it does not include tax, so please plan accordingly.

Gift Cards + Vouchers

  • Gift cards and daily skating + tubing vouchers are available for purchase on-site or via email to winteroperations@delawarenorth.com.
  • Vouchers are valid for the 2025-2026 winter season only, expiring 3/31/2026 or upon closing of skating + tubing at Titletown.
  • Can be used for skating, tubing, skate rentals, 46 Below concessions or at drink portables.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is snow gear required?

Specific snow gear is not required, but we suggest all snow goers dress warmly!

Can I host skating and tubing field trips or birthday parties?

Although we do not have specific field trip or birthday party packages at Titletown, guests are able to host events at Rockwood Terrace. More information about renting the space can be found here: https://www.titletown.com/event-venue/rockwood-terrace

Where do I put my belongings?

Large bags, purses, backpacks and headphones are not permitted on the ice rink or tubing hill. Pay-to-use lockers are available on a first come, first-serve basis. Guests are encouraged to leave valuables at home. Open storage is available for shoes. Titletown is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Where can I buy gift cards for skating and tubing?

Gift cards can be purchased from the 46 Below Café during their business hours. Those gift cards can then be redeemed for skating and tubing. At this time, we do not have e-gift cards or online ordering.

Can I buy tickets for skating and tubing online?

At this time, skating + tubing passes are only available for purchase on-site. Please visit the Admissions building to purchase. All participants that are planning to skate and/or tube must be present at Admissions to receive his/her admission stickers.
