Honoring Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Time: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: Titletown

Titletown will be open for holiday hours in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Spend some of the day with the kids enjoying skating on Hy-Vee Plaza and tubing down Ariens Hill or warm up in Rockwood Terrace between 1-3 p.m. while enjoying some crafts and coloring your own MLK Day poster. Can’t make it to Titletown?  Print your own poster here.

List of Activities:

  • 11 a.m.-8 p.m. | Skating on Hy-Vee Plaza
  • 11 a.m.-8 p.m. | Tubing on Ariens Hill
  • 1-3 p.m. | MLK Craft + Coloring in Rockwood Terrace (second floor in 46 Below)

 

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday in the United States marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader of the American Civil Rights movement, a Baptist minister and Nobel Peace Prize winner.
