Andrew Jones | Field Recordings Wine
Field Recordings winemaker Andrew Jones has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. He strives for unique wines loaded with personality and a one-of-a-kind experience. Jones’ wines are all about the flavor — with none of the pretension. Spending his days as a vine nursery fieldman planning and planting vineyards for farmers all over California, Andrew is sometimes offered small lots of their best fruit on the side. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he’s all about finding those underdogs with untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.

FAQs
What does the run-down of a typical Finest on the Field event look like?
Our events typically last 4-4.5 hours. Upon arrival you will check in with our host, where your name will be on the guest list. The festivities begin with a reception which offers wine and/or other beverages along with an assortment of passed appetizers.
Following the reception, we invite guests to join us at our long, beautiful table. Dinner is usually served 2 hours after the event begins. There is no assigned seating (unless you are joining us with a group of 6 or more people), and everyone sits down together at the same time to enjoy a four-course dinner with wine pairings.
Dinner is served family style, with large dishes in the center of the table that everyone shares while we celebrate the fruits of the land and the labors of all involved, breaking bread with each other.
Tickets start at $325. Tickets include a reception with welcome beverages and passed appetizers, a tour of the event site, and a four-course family-style seated dinner with wine pairings and/or a non-alcoholic beverage option. At the table, you’ll have the chance to dine and mingle with the hosts, winemakers, and artisans featured at the event.
What accommodations do you have for dietary requests?
Because our meals are served family-style, we can only accommodate a limited number of dietary restrictions and allergies. These are limited to vegetarian/pescatarian diets and celiac allergies. If you have any of these dietary limitations, please let us know in advance so we can prepare.
What is your weather policy?
Finest on the Field will proceed rain or shine. In the event of rain, we will arrange for shelter for the table. Absent an evacuation situation, under no circumstances will guests be entitled to a refund or additional financial accommodations due to poor weather conditions.
May I bring my kids?
The Finest on the Field experience is intended for adults. Due to the length of the event, the family-style service, and out of respect for all our guests, participants must be 21 years of age to participate.
